But in another sense lt&#8217;s also a salute to a remarkable asset here in Utah Valley: local talent that abounds here. With a cast of 500, Panorama features a broad spectrum of talent that manifests itself in scripting, instrumental music, historic re-enactments, variety numbers, the colorful &#8220;melting pot&#8221; finale on a sprawling map of the United States. lt&#8217;s a fund of talent of which Utah Valley can be proud &#8211; talent, we feel, that could be presented with pride anywhere in the United States. The Panorama show takes a special type of participant &#8211; but in the Freedom Festival as a whole, thousands of people are involved in one way or another &#8211; manning committees, building floats, operating concessions, carnival and athletic performers, etc. lt&#8217;s volunteer performers like this that makes a celebration go.
