Reflection

This website stands as a companion piece to a collaborative short film I helped produce about a vampire hunt, based on the film nosferatu. The background is a photograph of a physical set we built. I did all of the coding, and created the rest of the assets myself. I wanted to place the player in the same tense, hunted feeling that drives both the short film, and nosferatu. The escape room format seemed especially conducive to making the threat feel personal. Teaching myself the game logic was definitely the hardest challenge. I didn't even know if a browser based escape room was possible when I started, but building it taught me more about coding and interactive design than anything else I've made.
