Daily Herald Names Managing Editor

Click to see original imagePROVO (AP) – Earl Biederman, formerly of The Blade-Tribune in Oceanside, Calif., has been named managing editor of the Daily Herald in Provo. Daily Herald Publisher Kirk Parkinson said Biederman replaces Robert McDougall, who resigned in October.

‘I’m very pleased to have Mr. Biederman on board.” Parkinson said. “Earl is an experienced managing editor, and his background in administration and reporting will be a big asset to our newsrooms.”

Biederman was graduated from San Diego State University with a journalism degree in 1968. He has been in the newspaper business for 16 years, working at various papers in the San Francisco Bay and San Diego County areas and in Reno, Nev.

Most recently, he has been the managing editor of The Blade-Tribune.
