The Juab County metropolis of Nephi is host this week to the annual Juab County Fair. The two-day event today and Friday – was kicked off lst night with a prelude event, the 4-H style dress review. The fair traditionally is combined with the Utah Suffolk Sheep show and this year is no exception. Juab’s County Fair features exhibits covering a broad range including crops, garden vegetables, floriculture, foods, needlework, clothing, livestock, handicrafts, hobbies, woodwork, upholstery, photography, arts and ceramics, etc. Youth events and activities play a prominent role in the fair. Besides exhibits there are 4-H demonstrations, 4-H horse clubs show, public speaking contests, and talent show. The Juab County Fair is the third such late summer show held in Central Utah. Wasatch County had its fair a short time ago and Utah County completed its fair just last Saturday. Folks in Juab County have been sponsoring their fair and teh Suffolk Sheep show for many years. They are experts in staging these events. The Herald encourages a good attendance, not only from Juab County communities but from surrounding areas.
