Z, highlighted by the Presidential contest between Gerald R. Ford tlrtepuhlican) and Jimmy Carter (Democrat) as well as the various county, state and federal races. – Sept. 3 was the final day a voter could register for Primary Election voting eligibility. If you’re not on the rolla now. you csn’t vote Sept. 144 – There are threee opportunities to register with neighborhood agents prior in the General Election. They are Oct. 9,12, and 26. in addition the County Clerks office wlll accept registrations daily until I0 days prior to voting day. Another date significant in your preparation for voting will be next Thursday, Sept. B. On this date. the Herald will publish for the coimty clerk lists of polling places for the Primary Election together with voting maps. You are urged to clip these pages. They are being published for your benefit. Don’t fall to save and use them. With the Primary Election only eight days distant, Coimty Clerk Williams F. Hulsh reminds that his office will accept requests for absentee ballots for persona already registered. These are for voters who will be away from their city or residence on election day. The ballots must be received in the clerk’s office by Sept. 14 in order to be counted in the Primary Election. lt’s important for all to vote.
